However, in reality, it is very simple and practical and not even a new one. The transition towards a circular economy requires the active engagement of every individual, along with the adoption of simple, daily practices. To promote this idea, we are excited to announce MiXi Center’s new collaboration with the Tekniikan museo, known as the REMAKE CAFE! This project has received funding from the Helsingin kaupunki – Helsingfors stad – City of Helsinki and aims to actively involve senior citizens. Recognizing that repair, reuse, and refurbishment were common practices in the past, we see the seniors as a valuable resource of practical knowledge. On June 21st at 15:00, we invite you to join us at the museum to meet our fantastic partners in this project – University of Helsinki, Menddie, RD Physics, Commu App. We are welcoming any individual or organization that would like to take part, to join us and brainstorm ideas for the Remake Cafe future events. We want to know what items YOU would like to repair, or refurbish, what skills you would like to learn from others or share with fellow participants. Bring your kids, parents, grandparents, and neighbors to the museum for a delightful summer afternoon and enjoy a cup of coffee together.
