Arriving to the Museum of Technology 20.9.2024 news Greetings, museum visitor! We are renovating! The City of Helsinki is renewing the park our museum is situated in, and it causes some possible changes in the accessibility of the museum. At least during the rest of September 2024 we might have to temporarily close the main gate at Viikintie 1. Fear not, we have an alternative route for you (with a view)!If you arrive at the main gate and find it closed, please find the next crossing to the East and head down Katariina Saksilaisen katu. When you come to a small crossing with Pornaistenniemenpolku, turn right and you’ll find a small bridge over the picturesque rapids (Nousukalansilta or Lemmenlukkosilta after the Love Locks decorating it). Walk over the bridge and The Museum of Technology is the round, yellow building to your right. The main entrance can be found by following the footpath forward. If the main entrance is blocked by heavy machinery, we will put up signs to take you to the right entrance.If you’re arriving by vehicle, please drive down Katariina Saksilaisen katu all the way down and take a sharp right where you’ll find a parking lot (Jokisuuntien parkkipaikka). You can park there and walk to the Love Lock Bridge and forward to the museum.Welcome to The Museum of Technology and please accept our apologies for the possible adventure route!
