The program for the day includes 3 exciting workshops:

👛 Reusing plastics by reshaping it sounds like a great way to reuse, doesn’t it? At the workshop with you’ll learn simple yet amusing ways of recycling plastics for different purposes. If you have too many nice-colored plastic bags, bring them to the event and let the magic happen.

🔊 Don’t buy new speakers, make your old ones better with Kim-Niklas Antin from RD Physics ! Come and hear for yourself how the sound can be improved almost for free. You can also bring your own speaker, and we will measure its frequency response. We will also introduce speakers made from recycled materials.

📻 Do you know how kideradio looks? Juha Lahtinen has been collecting and fixing radios for 45 years. In the workshop, Juha will present some of his radios and share his knowledge. Welcome to bring your old radio or a photo of it, if you want to show it to Juha and other participants.

🎸 If you need a piece of advice on mending wooden string instruments (like a guitar or an ukulele), you can bring one or its picture showing a problem – our experts will be happy to share some tips!

☕ You are also welcome to enjoy the pleasant atmosphere, give&take vynil records and have a chat or share nice memories with others over a cup of coffee!

No experience or special skills are required to participate. Our team of skilled volunteers and friendly experts will be on hand to guide you through the repair and upcycling process. It’s a fantastic opportunity to learn new techniques, share knowledge, and meet other people with the same interests. Feel free to come alone or bring a friend or family member along – ReMake Cafe is open to everyone! 🤗
