Water and Life Guide Tour

The tours begin from the Museum of Technology info at 13.00 and 16.00

On the Water and Life tour you’ll travel in time and space from the 1500’s to the modern day and from our Main Building to our Filtering Hall. You will also get to know the history of Helsinki from the time of Gustav Vasa and learn how water trickles through it.

World Water Day

In 1992, the UN General Assembly declared March 22 as World Water Day. In the same year, the UN Conference on Environment and Development was held in Rio de Janeiro, with the aim of agreeing on joint actions to secure sustainable development and the livability of the world.
