Besides DJ’ing he curated four compilation albums of the genre for Svart Records between 2018 and 2022, and released the now sold-out book Synteettinen Suomi, where the Finnish electronic pop pioneers tell about their experiments with synthesizers and drum machines in the 1970s and 1980s. Named as the walking encyclopedia of Finnish electronic music in a Juno Records review, Mattlar will play the best tracks from the history of the genre, from the late 1970s to early 1990s. A FROZEN STREET CHANGED MY WALK “A frozen street changed my walk” is a multidisciplinary performance that takes the audience through shifting landscapes of memory. The piece unfolds in fragments of recollections. Of moments awakened by a scent, color, or the rhythm of footsteps. Crossing borders from Syria to Finland was not just a geographical transition; moving to a country where snow covers the ground for nearly five months per year slowed my pace, altered my balance, and gradually changed the rhythm of my body. This physical shift began to reshape how I move and dance. This personal experience inspired an exploration of identity, inner monologue, and the way in which cultural heritage lives within the body. It raises a question: What impact do climate, landscape, and living experiences have on our movement? Through an interactive installation, self-portraits, and a physical theatre performance, the audience is invited into a sentimental journey of flashbacks between memories and streets, where every step carries traces of another place. Angela Aldebs, is a Syrian choreographer, dancer and theatre maker currently living in Helsinki, who uses movement and performance to speak up about human rights and social issues. She has worked across the SWANA region and Europe, collaborating with artists around the world to celebrate cultural diversity through art. Always curious and passionate, exploring how art can inspire change and personal growth Installation, Self-portraits & Performance: Angela Aldebs Music & Sound: Ramithawi Heidi B (DJ set) Heidi B has radio dj show residencies at Ibiza Stardust Radio (Spain), BPM Radio (Brasil), at JDK Radio (UK), at House Fusion Radio (UK), at Maluti Deep House Radio (USA), at Soulmix Radio (UK), at CapitalDisko (Italy), at Bounce Squad DJ’s Bounce99 WBSD 99.9 (USA), Sonique Radio (Romania) and SonixFM, Canada.
