Scrap Robot Workshop

The Museum of Technology presents the return of its popular Scrap Robot Workshop! Use scrap metal to build a draft of a robot and let Artificial Intelligence show you what the finished product could look like.

Kuvassa lapsi rakentaa robottia. Työpajassa rakennetaan kierrätysmetallista robotti ja pajan ohjaaja auttaa AI-ohjelmaa tuottamaan kuvan valmiista tuotteesta. Pajassa tutustutaan rakenteluun, robotiikkaan ja tekoälyn käyttöön.

The workshop is open for two hours on Sundays and one individual robot takes at least 20 minutes to build. You can take your robot home with you or surrender it to be recycled into new scrap robots after you leave. The AI-generated pictures of finished robots might end up on the museum’s internet and/or social media pages.

Price: 10€ to be paid at the museum’s Info desk
Place: Finnish Museum of Technology, Main Building, The Ghost and the Invention Machine exhibition, workshop area on the upper level
Time: Sun 3.11. 12-14 (12 PM-2 PM) . Age recommendation: 10 years and up, younger builders need accompanying adults to assist (some tools are sharp)
